The family-run 450-year-old Rock Inn is in an area of outstanding natural beauty that combines laid-back country chic with succulent dining experiences. Located in the picturesque hamlet of Waterrow, halfway between Wiveliscombe and Bampton on the B3227 in the lovely county of Somerset, this charming inn has a Dining Room and a traditional pub.
Since April 2013, owners Ruth & Daren Barclay have, for the 5th year running, been awarded “Outstanding Food” by the readers of the Good Pub Guide.
Kitchen
Daren was Executive Head Chef at Goodwood Estates for over 11 years, and has worked at 3 1- star Michelin restaurants and cooks traditional food with a contemporary twist. Fish is delivered daily, fresh from the fish markets of South Devon, local butchers supply Aberdeen Angus Steak and free-range Duck, Chicken and eggs are supplied by a local farmer.
